Telehealth Psychology

Support Wherever You Feel Most Comfortable

At Maple Psychology, we offer psychology appointments via secure video consultation or telephone, providing greater flexibility and accessibility for our clients.

Telehealth allows you to access psychological support from a location that feels comfortable and convenient, without needing to travel to the clinic. Sessions can be provided by video, similar to a face-to-face appointment, or by phone where appropriate.

Telehealth may be particularly helpful for people who

  • Live further away or have difficulty travelling to the clinic
  • Have busy work, study, or family schedules
  • Feel more comfortable participating from home
  • Experience anxiety or other barriers to attending in person
  • Prefer the flexibility of phone or video appointments
  • Need greater flexibility due to health, mobility, or accessibility needs

Video or Phone – What Works for You?

For many clients, video appointments provide an experience similar to sitting together in the therapy room, while still allowing you to participate from your own space.

For others, talking on the phone feels easier. Some people find it more comfortable to talk without being on camera, particularly when feeling overwhelmed, tired, or socially drained.

Where clinically appropriate, we can work with you to determine whether in-person, video, telephone, or a combination of appointment types best suits your needs.

What Can We Do Via Telehealth?

Many of the same areas we support in person can also be addressed through telehealth, including:

  • Trauma-informed, Neuroaffirming therapy
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression
  • Emotional regulation
  • Burnout
  • Parent support
  • Executive functioning
  • Self-esteem and identity
  • Life transitions
  • FND support
  • General psychological wellbeing

Some assessments and interventions require face-to-face components, so our team can discuss the most appropriate format with you when booking.

Flexible, Accessible Support

We recognise that accessibility looks different for everyone. For some people, coming into the clinic feels best. For others, accessing therapy from their bedroom, office, car, or another private space can make psychological support much more manageable.

Our goal is to make therapy accessible while maintaining the same collaborative, compassionate, and individualised approach you can expect from Maple Psychology, wherever your session takes place.
